Quality & Documentation
Industrial buyers don't trust adjectives — they trust documents. This page explains exactly which paperwork accompanies a Tongke titanium order, what each document proves, and how to verify it on your side.
The Document Set Per Shipment
| Document | Proves |
|---|---|
| Mill Test Certificate (MTC) | chemical composition + mechanical results per heat/lot, EN 10204 3.1 style |
| Packing list | piece-level lot mapping, weights, bundle counts |
| Certificate of Origin / commercial docs | customs paperwork chain |
| NDT report (where ordered) | hydrostatic / UT / eddy-current result record |
| Third-party inspection report (where arranged) | independent pre-shipment verification |
MTC Field by Field
| Field | Note |
|---|---|
| Standard + revision | e.g. ASTM B265 Gr2 — not just 'B265' |
| Heat & lot number | ties to labels on every bundle |
| Chemistry | C, N, O, Fe + alloying for Gr5/9/12/23 |
| Mechanical | tensile, yield, elongation, hardness where spec'd |
| Test method + condition | annealed/STA etc., which specimen |
| Mill signature | producer declaration, not trader paraphrase |
Traceability Chain
Heat number (melt) → lot (rolling/drawing batch) &rarr> packing list line → invoice. Every delivered piece should tie back to an MTC line without a phone call. Where your class society or EPC paperwork demands witness testing, third-party inspection (SGS/BV family) is coordinated at the production base before dispatch.
Verify on Arrival (buyer's QC checklist)
☐ check heat/lot numbers on labels vs MTC
☐ confirm surface & edge condition matches PO terms
☐ weigh a bundle vs theoretical (tube guide has the formula)
☐ retain one piece per lot for your own incoming test
How We Handle Quality Claims
Documented discrepancy → we open a mill case against the MTC line number with photos and measurements; resolution scope is agreed before replacement or credit. TBC: formal claim-window policy is confirmed per contract.

Photos show inspection and production environment at the Baoji network, for capability illustration; they are not batch-specific certificates.
