Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V)
Grade 5 — Ti-6Al-4V, TC4 in China, 6Al-4V by name everywhere. UNS R56400. 895 MPa minimum tensile with corrosion resistance close to CP grades, and the machining behaviour engineers actually design around. The alloy we quote most after Gr2.

| Tensile (min) | 895 MPa |
| Yield (min) | 828 MPa |
| Elongation (min) | 10 % |
| Alloy | 6 % Al, 4 % V, balance Ti |
| Density | ≈ 4.43 g/cm³ |
| Temperature limit | creep-limited above ~350 °C |
Forms & Size Ranges
Bar φ3–350 (we routinely answer φ16–φ145 enquiries) · plate · rings & discs · machined to drawing · bolts.
Annealed vs STA
Annealed Gr5 machines friendlier and forms a little; solution-treated + aged (STA) gives the highest usable strength for thin, loaded sections. State the condition on the purchase spec or let our quotation propose it.
Aerospace & Medical Context
AMS 4928 and ASTM F136/GB/T 13810 names appear on many Gr5/Gr23 enquiries. We can quote material against those published specs; we are not AS9100/NADCAP-certified and do not claim aerospace or implant qualification — we supply the metal and machining; certification stays with the buying programme.
Price Logic (qualitative)
Gr5 costs more per kg than Gr2 — alloying, forging routes and scrap handling — but design strength often makes the part cheaper through smaller sections. Send the drawing; we compare both grades on the same line if useful.
