Titanium for Marine & Seawater Applications
Seawater is titanium's home turf: chloride resistance that no copper alloy or stainless can match at flow velocity, and immunity to the biofouling-and-pitting cycle that eats marine hardware. Gr2 is the default marine grade — and the grade our European boat-fabrication customers reorder season after season.
Default Grade Logic
| Duty | Grade |
|---|---|
| Seawater cooling, ambient | Gr2 default |
| Hot return lines, >70 °C | Gr12 consideration |
| Structural hardware, bolts | Gr5 strength; Gr2 galvanic caution |
| Mixed with carbon steel? | Isolate — Ti/steel galvanic pairs need design care |

Real Repeat Orders, Kept Anonymous
We supply a European welding fabricator building seawater systems — GR2 machined parts, threaded rod and multi-diameter tube across successive proforma invoices. The pattern matters more than the name: marine shops need short-lead, mixed-size, documentation-complete supply, and that's the model we run.
Classification Societies
DNV/LR/ABS work on marine projects is documentation support (MTC, NDT records, traceability) coordinated with your class surveyor — we do not claim to be a certified supplier of any society.
